Breakaway Training’s Core Body / Stretching

This class is divided into two terms:
- Term 1: (Oct 20 – Dec 15 2008 ) No class Nov 24. (8 weeks)
- Term 2: (Jan 5 – Mar 9, 2009 ) (10 weeks)

Class workouts will be instructed by Julie Browning and will be structured in a way that they progress each week. Each class will include the following:
- Warm-up : dynamic and joint mobility.
- Core body strengthening : upper, mid and lower back and abdominals.
- Stability exercises
- Stretching : yoga poses which will help with stability, flexibility, athletic function and body awareness. This class will emphasizes proper body alignment, and the use of props (belts, blocks, etc.) allow people with flexibility limitations to safely perform poses with the correct alignment.
All exercises, poses and stretches are designed to specifically target areas typically tight and weak in athletes.
The classes are adaptable to the abilities and needs of each student. |

Term 1 at Fulton CC- Mon Oct 20 –Dec 15 (8 classes)

Cost for Term 1: $80
Cost for Term 2: $100
Drop-in (if space permits; please check beforehand) $12 a class.

Fulton Community Center does have yoga mats, blocks and straps for us to use. If you prefer to purchase your own, I can recommend the following two websites: www.yogaaccessories.com or www.jfit.com.
What to wear: Clothes that allow movement. Some weeks you will require gym shoes, but typically the class will be bare foot.

Class size is limited. If last year is anything to go by, we expect classes to fill quickly. To register:
- Email to reserve a spot.
- Once you receive a confirmation email please mail in a completed registration/waiver form and include full payment. Checks are to be made out to Breakaway Training.

- Current students are given priority registration for the following term.
- Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Please be on time for class. Classes will start and end on time. Please do not arrive late.
- Please leave your cell phones, gum, perfume and worries outside the workout room.
- Students should advise the instructor of any health conditions.
- All class participants must sign a waiver.
- Number to call to check if class is re-scheduled/cancelled due to inclement weather is 503-913-1671
- Registrations are refundable up to 1 week before the first class. Refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee. If you do have to drop the class, please let us know as soon as possible so that we many give the space to another athlete. There are no refunds for late drops (once the class has started). Special considerations is given for a medical problem or family emergency. Registrations are for full terms only.
