Breakaway Training’s Indoor Cycling Class
2015 Fall Session

Class workouts will be instructed by Julie Browning.

Off the bike:
The class will start and end with an off-the-bike warm-up/cool down. This warm-up will follow ADAPT's principles of helping the body restore, develop and maintain a balanced muscular and skeletal system.

On the bike:
Class will introduce drills to help with pedaling efficiency. The class progresses each week and introduces body awareness on the bike, as well as body alignment and muscle recruitment. The class is appropriate for all levels of skill and fitness. Past participants have ranged in ability from competitive cyclist and triathletes to recreational cyclists and first time bike owners.

Each class will include the following:

  • A thorough warm-up
  • Specific drills to improve pedal efficiency and leg speed
  • Structured interval sets
  • A cool-down
  • Good training practices / habits to help maintain a functional athlete

I just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying your class so far. I rave about it to friends or co-workers that ask what type of class I'm taking. I've learned something new in each class so far, and isn't that the point? I appreciate the fact that you can explain things to us by breaking them down in to simple, understandable elements. To me, that's what makes a great teacher.

Thanks for offering the class. I can say I definitely enjoyed it, it was nice to get together with a bunch of people instead of just setting up in the kitchen and watching a spinervals video!
You have a great class.  It's nice to go through the winter knowing that I will get at least one bike workout in!  Drills, and everything are great.  Again, having someone to tell you how and what to do is great.  Of course I would take your class again.
