Yoga by the Ocean

Vital YOU is a unique program that combines the powerful combination of nutrition counseling and education, lifestyle behavior education, health coaching, medical assessment and group dynamic

What is Vital YOU?

This is not another diet, cleanse or detox, this is a customized metabolic reset that will not only affect your health today but will impact your overall wellness for life.

Quality nutrition, restorative sleep, regular physical activity, stress management and strong social connections are the most well-researched habits that drive optimal wellness and longevity. Too often, it’s not our genetics, but our poor habits that shift underlying biochemistry towards disease instead of good health.

Vital YOU is a comprehensive and individualized metabolic reset, customized to your unique needs and supported with weekly group check-ins alongside private health coaching and nutrition counseling.  Results are accelerated because this program uniquely targets your goals and drives success by addressing all aspects of wellness. Throughout this program you will gain the knowledge and tools to pursue your best health now and in the future.

Program Details

Throughout the three weeks prior to your program start-date, you will meet with Megan Barnett, MS, a Functional Nutritionist, to review your health history and complete lab work that will assess overall physical health and food sensitivities.  During your second visit with Megan to review the laboratory findings, you will discuss and design your customized plan. This meeting will be directly followed by a 30-minute medical review with Jeff Grimm, NP, to assess your health, complete a baseline stress response test and body composition analysis.

During this time you will also meet with Julie Browning NBC-HWC, your Health Coach, to identify your overall wellness vision, signature character strengths, core values, and motivators. This information is used to develop appropriate strategies that will support implementation of your individualized lifestyle behavior changes.

Group Education

You will attend five weekly 90-minute group sessions every Thursday at 6:30pm at BioLounge.  These education sessions are used to dive deeper into how this program reverses damage in your body and sets the physiological stage for optimal health and well-being. It is also a good time to ask questions, troubleshoot, and reset your intention for the week. We think you will find this unique blend of education and group health coaching empowering, nurturing, inspiring and supportive.

Health Coaching

Between each meeting you will schedule a 30-45 min phone appointment with Julie to develop personal goals around lifestyle behaviors and habits.  This will help you to anticipate barriers and challenges, and brainstorm strategies that will work for you. This support is critical for overcoming habits that stand in your way of optimal health.

Nutrition Counseling

Throughout the program, you will have an opportunity for two private 30-minute nutrition phone sessions with Megan to address any challenges, questions or changes that will support your success in making nutrition improvements and identifying your individualized needs.

After the final group session, you will have a lab draw and schedule your follow-up session with Megan and Jeff to assess your “before and after” labs, body composition analysis, and stress response test.  We will discuss how this information relates to your overall health and well-being and what your next steps are for maintaining and supporting ongoing progress.
