When: 6pm-7:30pm Tuesday Oct 15-Dec17, 2019 (10 classes)

Where: Cascade Bikes at Washington Square (next to Target), 9009 SW Hall Blvd Suite 140, Tigard, OR 97223

Cost: $155

This is different than a spin class: you ride your own bike on a stationary trainer and these classes are instructed by a professional cycling coach. They are a great way to get out of the cold, dark and rain of the winter months to work on your cycling fitness and pedaling technique in a fun, safe, and small group environment.

These classes start with a 10 minute off-the-bike warm-up routine and end with a 20 minute off-the-bike cool down routine. They follow ADAPT's principles of helping restore and maintain good alignment in the body.

On the bike: each class will be a 60 minute workout that will include the following:

  • A thorough warm-up

  • Specific drills to improve pedaling efficiency and leg speed

  • Introduce interval training in a safe and fun small group environment.

  • Reinforce body awareness and alignment on the bike

  • A cool-down

  • Good training practices / habits to help maintain a functional athlete

Additional Info:

Class size is limited.

All participants are required to fill out a waiver (this will be emailed to you).

This is a co-ed series of classes and they are appropriate for any cyclist whether you ride for fun, fitness or if you’re training for an event. This class accommodates all levels of fitness and experience. And it is a great way to keep your cycling fitness over the winter months in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.

There are a limited number of stationary trainers available to borrow. These are available by request. If you know you need to borrow a trainer, please email  me to inquire if there is a trainer for you before signing up.

What to bring:

  • Yourself ready to workout

  • A clean and working bike with slick / smooth tires (no mountain bike tires with knobby tread)

  • Stationary Indoor Trainer (I do have a couple to loan out. Please inquire on availability)

  • Cycling shoes

  • Yoga mat

  • Water bottle

  • Small towel

  • Off-the-bike shoes

  • Completed waiver

Instructor Bio:

Since 2003 these Indoor Cycling classes have been instructed by Julie Browning, who has been a professional cycling coach since 2001. She works with a wide variety of clients ranging from experienced racers to first time bike owners, from kids starting out on their mountain bikes to retired folks looking to enjoy a new sport. When Julie isn’t riding her bike she enjoys yoga, nordic skiing, trail running, being mom to an active 13 year old, and creating meals in the kitchen.
