'The Red Js’ Cycling Camps

We specialize in offering road, gravel and mountain bike camps. We select venues and routes that inspire us to be out on our bikes. Our camps are more than just riding. They include nourishing food, off the bike strength training and range of motion, education, and coaching in a fun filled and supportive atmosphere. 

Friday, September 11th at noon:
   Clinic on descending, climbing, and cornering.
   Brown's Creek - Cherry Heights Loop
   15 miles / 1300 feet of climbing. 
     Meeting at The Home Depot in The Dalles at noon

Saturday, Sept 12th:  
   Rowena Road Ride
   Petersburg Fifteen Mile Loop
   Option 1: 37 miles / 1600 feet of climbing
   Option 2: Adding Rowena for an additional 27 miles and 2700 feet    of climbing.
   Meeting at The Home Depot in The Dalles at 10am
 

Sunday, Sept 13th:  
   Lost Lake Road Ride 
   Option 1: 69 miles / 6234 feet of climbing. 
   Meeting in downtown Mosier at 9am
   Option 2: 48.5 miles / 4294 feet of climbing.
   Meeting at Hood River HS at 9:45am

 

LODGING & MEALS:

Given everyones different comfort level around Covid-19, we decided to have all participants find their own accommodations and meals. Consider Celilo Inn or The Dalles Inn in The Dalles. 

 

CAMP PAYMENT: 

2-Day option (Sept 12-13th):  $200
3-Day option (Sept 11-13th):  $250
 

Camp has limited availability. Sign-up to secure your spot. Given the uncertainty of things due to Covid-19, we won't be collecting payment until 10 days before camp starts.

Who are the Red Js?

Julie Browning and Joanne Eastwood met over 22 years ago while members of Team Oregon when they were both new to bike racing.

 

It was the start of a friendship that goes beyond racing bikes: they are two red headed girls from England who have been racing not only bikes, but also as triathletes at an elite level, and then turned this passion into a coaching business to help others chase their athletic dreams.

 

It was a natural step for Julie and Joanne to partner in offering 'The Red Js' cycling camps and retreats.
